Job Summary

Aircraft Avionics Technician - CV-22

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Avionics Technician to support CV-22 Osprey aircraft maintenance operations at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position will perform advanced aircraft electrical, avionics, and environmental systems maintenance across organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive military aircraft maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and recent hands-on experience working on CV-22 or V-22 aircraft.

Location:

Kirtland Air Force Base - Albuquerque, New Mexico

• Must be available to support scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance requirements
  
• Overtime and occasional travel may be required based on mission needs
  Key Responsibilities
  
• Perform organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on CV-22 aircraft
  
• Complete aircraft repairs, modifications, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), and one-time inspections
  
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics, electrical, and environmental control systems
  
• Diagnose and correct faults involving aircraft electrical, avionics, instrumentation, navigation, and environmental systems
  
• Perform component and system-level troubleshooting using wiring diagrams, schematics, technical publications, and electronic maintenance documentation
  
• Conduct complex troubleshooting of aircraft systems and subsystems to identify and resolve difficult maintenance discrepancies
  
• Perform adjustments, repairs, removals, and installations of aircraft electrical, avionics, and environmental components
  
• Conduct acceptance inspections of critical flight-control components following rework or receipt from the manufacturer
  
• Perform aircraft acceptance and transfer inspections as required
  
• Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions in accordance with applicable technical requirements
  
• Utilize Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), maintenance publications, technical orders, diagrams, and other approved technical data
  
• Use ground support equipment, precision tools, and specialized test equipment to perform aircraft maintenance
  
• Accurately complete aircraft forms and maintenance records and ensure all required documentation is entered into the applicable maintenance information systems
  
• Maintain strict compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and government maintenance requirements
  
• Support a strong safety culture focused on preventing accidents, injuries, and equipment damage
  
• Provide on-the-job training and assist with documenting training for active-duty maintenance personnel when required
  
• Travel to other CV-22 operating locations to perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, or technical support as needed
  
• Perform additional aircraft maintenance and support duties as assigned
  Qualifications
  
• Minimum 7 years of continuous aircraft maintenance experience in an electrical or avionics specialty on fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience working on CV-22 or V-22 aircraft OR at least 1 year of documented

experience within the past 3 years

• Extensive experience working with aircraft technical publications, technical orders, wiring diagrams, schematics, and electronic maintenance documentation
  
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills involving complex aircraft electrical and avionics systems
  
• Experience using precision tools, ground support equipment, and aircraft-specific test equipment
  
• Proficiency working within Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and computerized maintenance documentation systems
  
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical, avionics, navigation, instrumentation, and environmental systems
  
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a highly structured aircraft maintenance environment
  
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to aircraft safety, quality, and airworthiness
  
• Ability to accurately document maintenance actions and comply with technical and regulatory requirements
  
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  
• Must be able to successfully meet all applicable program, security, and employment requirements
  Preferred Qualifications
  
• Recent hands-on CV-22 Osprey maintenance experience
  
• Previous V-22 Osprey maintenance experience
  
• Military aircraft avionics or electrical maintenance background
  
• Experience performing complex aircraft system/subsystem troubleshooting
  
• Experience with aircraft modifications, TCTOs, one-time inspections, and depot-level maintenance
  
• Experience performing aircraft acceptance, transfer, and critical-component inspections
  
• Strong background working with aircraft wiring, electrical assemblies, avionics systems, and environmental control systems
  
• Experience training or mentoring junior or active-duty aircraft maintenance personnel
  
• Experience supporting multiple aircraft operating locations or deployed maintenance environments
