Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Avionics Technician for a Contract with a client in Holbrook, NY. The ideal candidate is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and completing maintenance work orders while ensuring compliance with OEM specifications and safety standards.
Rate Range:
$25/Hour to $27/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Avionics Technician Responsibilities include:
Overhaul, repair, and service aircraft oxygen masks, cylinders, fire extinguishers, and related aviation components. Perform incoming inspections and evaluate equipment for serviceability and compliance. Test and troubleshoot components using pressure gauges, flow meters, and maintenance manuals. Complete maintenance records, work orders, and required documentation accurately. Conduct hydrostatic testing of oxygen cylinders and assemble regulators per OEM specifications. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; A&P Certification strongly preferred. 3-5 years of experience in aviation component repair, maintenance, or a related technical field. Experience working with high-pressure oxygen systems and aircraft safety equipment. Proficiency in using hand tools, pressure gauges, flow meters, and interpreting maintenance manuals. Ability to read and understand blueprints, parts manuals, and technical documentation. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks accurately and pass FAA pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Pay Details:
