This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of mechanical, electrical, and equipment installations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with equipment installations, rebuilds, line modifications, reliability upgrades and excellent problem-solving skills. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient environment. Special projects execution is the priority along with daily preventative maintenance. Candidates should want to build and improves equipment, not just react to breakdowns. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues across various systems. Execute equipment installations, relocations, rebuilds, and modifications on extrusion and downstream lines Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately. Operate company vehicles for maintenance tasks as needed. Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they affect operations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Assist in the installation of new equipment ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding maintenance needs. Lead or assist in training junior technicians or team members when required. Qualifications 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical systems repair and maintenance. Strong electrical background with familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting. Own your own hand tools Ability to operate company vehicles safely and efficiently. Knowledge of maintenance, repair, operations (MRO), and equipment repair best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance issues. PLC trouble shooting experience Plastics, fiber, textile or continuous manufacturing background Direct experience with extrusion equipment would be a plus
