Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel's guest rooms, common areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for guests and employees. The ideal candidate has general maintenance experience and is comfortable working with light plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC systems, and small machinery. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and property. Complete basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks. Perform basic electrical work, such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and bulbs. Repair and patch drywall, ceilings, doors, and other interior surfaces. Assist with basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities for maintenance needs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff. Operate and maintain small machinery, tools, and maintenance equipment safely. Perform preventative maintenance to help reduce equipment breakdowns and facility issues. Maintain exterior areas and assist with general property upkeep as needed. Follow all hotel safety procedures and applicable regulations. Keep maintenance tools, work areas, and storage areas organized and clean. Document completed work and report significant maintenance issues to management. Assist with emergency maintenance situations when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous experience in hotel, apartment, commercial, residential, or general building maintenance preferred. Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, and HVAC systems. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work around hotel guests in a professional and courteous manner. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various areas of the property. Compensation $15.00-$20.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. Work Environment This position works throughout the hotel property, including guest rooms, public areas, mechanical areas, and outdoor areas. The technician may encounter varying temperatures, noise, heights, and other typical maintenance conditions.

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
