Overview Join our dynamic team as a Septic System Installer and Heavy Equipment Operator, where you'll play a vital role in constructing and installing wastewater management systems that keep communities functioning smoothly. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of heavy machinery and construction tools, ensuring the successful installation of septic systems, sanitary drainage, and underground utility networks. Your expertise will help deliver reliable infrastructure solutions while adhering to safety standards and technical specifications. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches, move materials, and prepare sites for septic system installation. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise pipe placement and system layout. Install septic tanks, sewer lines, water supply systems, stormwater systems, and underground utilities according to project specifications. Use utility locating tools and pipe lasers to accurately position underground utilities and ensure proper alignment during installation. Perform construction trenching while following safety regulations and federal construction safety standards to maintain a secure work environment. Follow all safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools and heavy equipment operation procedures. Experience Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks in construction or utility projects. Strong knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewer line installation, underground utilities installation, and water supply systems. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately; interpreting specifications for utility trenching and pipe installation projects. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence on active job sites. Hands-on experience with plumbing, pipeline installation—including sewer lines—and stormwater system setup in construction environments. Background working on construction site projects involving oil & gas infrastructure or similar industrial settings is a plus.
