Transport Driver/Maintenance Technician The Transport Driver/Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation services for patients, supplies, equipment, and other hospital-related needs while ensuring hospital facilities, grounds, and equipment are properly maintained. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep to support a safe, functional, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to safety, and the ability to respond promptly to transportation and maintenance needs throughout the facility.

Transportation Driver Key Responsibilities:

Following traffic laws, planning routes, and meeting patient appointments. Performing daily maintenance, such as refueling, cleaning, and checking for any damage. Maintaining mileage, fuel, and toll expenses if needed. Ensuring the safety of patients, and reporting any accidents or vehicle issues. Communicating with case management and administration. Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to clients, visitors and coworkers. Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50 lbs, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces. Following all state and national safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Preferred High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols and procedures. Ability to lift and move patients with assistance. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Compassionate and patientcentered approach to care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily inspections of all equipment rooms, HVAC systems, and mechanical systems. Perform monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance on all essential equipment. Complete daily work orders received from the hospital Help Desk. Maintain comprehensive records of all preventive maintenance, life safety equipment, and all required inspections. Pick up necessary materials for job completion from local lumber or hardware stores. Must be available to be on-call after normal work hours on a weekly rotation basis.
