PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - DATA ENTRY - CLOSED DOOR LTC PHARMACY

Job Description

Model Drug is seeking a Long Term Care CA Licensed Pharmacy Technician Data Entry Clerk in Kingsburg. What We Do Model Drug is an independent, 24-hour long-term care closed door pharmacy dedicated to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to skilled nursing facilities across central California. Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician provides customer service by triaging requests according to priority. Research medication order issues and facilitate their resolution by providing exceptional customer service support. Pharmacy Technicians also have responsibility to fill prescriptions and compound IV's at times.
Position Requirements:
California Pharmacy Technician License Prefer 6 months experience in retail, long term care or hospital pharmacy Excellent phone & computer skills Excellent typing skills & pharmacy knowledge Knowledge of HIPAA compliance Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Enter new and refill orders in a timely and accurate manner Answer incoming customer calls Prioritize and respond appropriately Direct to appropriate team member to ensure best service possible Calculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on the prescription Maintain required documentation for tracking and researching orders Understand Medicare Policy and Co-Pay requirements/guidelines Assist team members/department as needed in order to meet workflow deadlines and/or complete miscellaneous projects
Schedule:
Five days per week Swing shift Weekend rotation required
Physical Demands:
You may sit, stand, bend and walk intermittently seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day May be necessary to work extended hours as needed May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus Do not call or apply in person.
