In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime of production equipment by performing advanced mechanical troubleshooting, precision welding, and custom metal fabrication. The ideal candidate has deep experience in heavy industrial environments and a proven track record of maintaining precast machinery. Key Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial machinery, including concrete batch plants, mixers, overhead cranes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime. Diagnose mechanical failures quickly and implement long-term engineering solutions rather than temporary fixes. Welding & Fabrication Fabricate custom components , brackets, guards, and structural modifications from blueprints or sketches. Utilize multiple welding processes (MIG, TIG, and Stick) to repair precast molds, forms, and plant infrastructure. Cut, torch, shape, and finish various metal materials to exact tolerances. Precast Facility Operations Maintain and modify steel forms and casting beds to ensure exact product dimensions and quality standards. Inspect and service specialized precast equipment , ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Qualifications & Skills Technical Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within a precast concrete or heavy manufacturing facility. Proven proficiency in welding (MIG, Stick, and TIG) and structural steel fabrication. Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and pumps. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Physical & General Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or relevant certifications (AWS welding, mechanical journeyman) are highly preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding, non-climate-controlled industrial environment. Strong commitment to safety regulations , including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
