Summary:

We're looking for a hands-on, resourceful person to keep our space running smoothly. This is a broad, flexible role — no two days will look the same. You'll handle everything from basic repairs and building upkeep to organizing our lab space to occasional local errands and transportation tasks. We're looking for someone who's genuinely happy to wear many hats and pitch in wherever's needed, rather than someone who wants a narrowly defined job.

What You'll Do:

General repairs and maintenance (light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, furniture assembly/repair) Troubleshoot and fix everyday building issues (doors, fixtures, HVAC basics, etc.) Organize, label, and maintain lab spaces, storage areas, and equipment Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and lab materials; reorder as needed Handle local pickups/deliveries and transportation tasks (parts runs, supply pickups, occasional shuttling of equipment or people) Set up and break down spaces for events, meetings, or shipments Coordinate with outside vendors/contractors for bigger jobs (HVAC, electrical, etc.) Basic safety checks and upkeep of common areas Take on ad hoc projects as they come up — flexibility is the job

What We're Looking For:

Genuine "jack of all trades" mindset — comfortable switching between physical repair work, light admin/organization, and errands Practical problem-solving skills; resourceful when something needs fixing and you don't have the "textbook" tool for it Valid driver's license and comfortable driving for work errands Basic familiarity with hand and power tools Organized, detail-oriented — especially for lab organization tasks Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working with minimal supervision Good communicator — able to flag issues, order parts, and coordinate with the team

Nice To Have:

Experience in a lab, workshop, or maker-space environment Basic knowledge of electrical/plumbing systems Experience with inventory or asset-tracking systems Forklift or other equipment certification

Logistics:

Full-time, on-site in Sausalito Vehicle arrangement (personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement vs. company vehicle) to be finalized Some schedule flexibility may be needed for deliveries/errands
