Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician, where your expertise keeps our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our buildings and equipment. You will be empowered to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of systems and facilities, contributing directly to a safe and productive environment. We value proactive problem-solving, technical skill, and a passion for maintaining high standards across all aspects of building operations. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, carpentry, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and electrical work techniques to resolve issues swiftly. Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain comfortable indoor environments. Use hand tools and power tools for tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and facility upgrades. Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, lighting, plumbing systems, and mechanical devices through scheduled servicing and emergency repairs. Read technical schematics and diagrams to diagnose problems accurately and implement effective solutions. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee small team activities when required. Ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to internal clients or tenants. Skills Extensive mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures. Proficiency in electrical work including electrical equipment repair, wiring, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as HVAC system troubleshooting and repair techniques. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively for diverse tasks such as carpentry or painting projects. Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices including building interior upkeep and systems troubleshooting. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams with demonstrated leadership qualities. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members or clients.
