Elderly Housing Management, Inc. (EHM) is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support one of our affordable housing communities. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position requiring a valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed. The approved requisition identifies the position as full-time at 37.5 hours per week, with an approved hourly range of $25-$28. What the Job Is The Maintenance Technician helps keep our residential community safe, clean, and well maintained. You'll handle routine maintenance and repairs, respond to work orders, and work closely with property management to address building and resident needs. What You'll Do Complete routine maintenance and repair work. Respond to resident work orders in a timely and professional manner. Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs. Inspect common areas, apartments, grounds, and building systems for maintenance needs. Assist with apartment turnovers and preventative maintenance. Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance records. Respond to emergency maintenance needs as required. Provide respectful and professional service to residents. Travel as needed for work-related responsibilities. What We're Looking For Previous maintenance experience required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. General knowledge of building maintenance and repair. Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities of the position. The requisition specifically identifies maintenance experience, a driver's license, and travel as position requirements.
