Overview Our dynamic church is seeking a skilled and service-minded Maintenance Technician to help steward our campus so ministry can thrive. This hands-on role focuses on day-to-day maintenance and repair, ensuring our building is safe, functional, and welcoming for worship, ministry programs, staff, and guests. A maintenance technician ensures the proper functioning, safety, and longevity of facility systems. Their work spans routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and documentation. Structure
This position is a part-time, hourly position of approximately 16-20 hours per week.
The schedule is flexible, with occasional evenings or weekends required. Responsibilities
Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance.
Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, doors, flooring, furniture, and general building systems.
Perform general tasks such as painting, carpentry, and quality checks.
Respond to work orders and urgent repair needs in a timely manner.
Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to address issues before they escalate. Communicate with staff and leadership problems and concerns about building, grounds, and safety issues.
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
Use tools and follow established safety and maintenance procedures.
Collaborate with Trustee Chair, Office Manager, and contractors as needed.
Read and interpret manuals and work orders.
Plan and coordinate all installations, repairs, and maintenance to the building, equipment, and fixed assets with outside companies.
Handling of monitoring system malfunctions and alarms during off business hours.
Attend and report to the Trustee Committee. Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Self-starter and has time management skills.
Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic tools.
Physical capability and availability for overtime or emergency repairs.
Occasional evening hours for events held at church.

Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 20.0 per week
