Overview The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role ensures all equipment, systems, and facilities operate efficiently and safely to provide a comfortable guest experience. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems (Plumbing, electrical, etc.) Inspect guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance needs Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff Repair fixtures such as doors, windows, locks, and furniture Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid future issues Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes Maintain tools and maintenance inventory Assist with painting, carpentry, and minor renovations Keep maintenance logs and records of work performed Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance roles, with a strong understanding of general maintenance practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively. Basic knowledge and experience using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter. Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. Ability to communicate effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving with keen attention to detail.
