Maintenance Technician -
Full Time Pay:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience Real Property Management Pocatello is looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. Our Maintenance Technicians help keep the homes we manage safe, functional, and looking their best while providing excellent service to both residents and property owners. This is a full-time, year-round position with benefits and opportunities to expand your skills and experience. What We Offer $18.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance offered Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Full-Time, Year-Round Employment What You'll Do As a Maintenance Technician, you will work at rental properties throughout our management portfolio, completing maintenance requests, preparing vacant properties for new residents, and assisting with property improvements.
Responsibilities may include:
Complete maintenance and repair work orders at occupied rental properties. Prepare vacant rental units for new residents and complete apartment/home turns in a timely manner without sacrificing quality. Identify needed repairs and communicate larger repair or replacement needs to the Property Manager. Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance repairs. Repair or replace baseboards, trim, doors, hardware, fixtures, and other property components. Patch drywall and perform interior and exterior painting. Inspect and perform minor repairs to appliances, water heaters, heating and cooling systems, lighting fixtures, and plumbing fixtures. Check doors and windows for proper operation and security. Rekey or replace locks as required. Perform caulking and weatherproofing. Assist with flooring repairs or replacement when needed. Perform pressure washing, exterior maintenance, minor landscaping, property cleanup, and seasonal maintenance. Assist with remodels, property improvements, and larger maintenance projects as assigned. Maintain tools, supplies, and materials needed to complete assigned work. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Maintain accurate records regarding completed work and materials used. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can manage their time effectively, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Ideal candidates will have:
General maintenance, construction, repair, or related experience. Experience using common hand and power tools. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting. The ability to troubleshoot maintenance problems and determine appropriate repairs. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. The ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on assignments. Good communication and customer-service skills. The ability to follow written and verbal instructions. The ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday. The ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with appropriate assistance or equipment. Knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA guidelines. Knowledge of Idaho building codes is helpful but not required. Vehicle & Tool Requirements Applicants must have: A valid driver's license. Current automobile liability insurance. A reliable work truck or other appropriate vehicle capable of transporting tools and materials to job sites. Basic tools necessary to perform general maintenance duties. Schedule This is a full-time position. Applicants must be dependable and have reasonable scheduling flexibility. Occasional overtime, weekend, holiday, or after-hours work may be required based on maintenance or property needs.
