Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Technician 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift | Milford, IN | Food Processing $33
  • 37/hour base pay 2nd & 3rd
Shift:
+$1/hour shift premium 50-55 hours/week on average | Some Saturdays The Opportunity We're looking for a true multi-craft Industrial Maintenance Technician who can troubleshoot beyond basic electrical circuits. This is a hands-on role in a high-volume food processing environment where you'll work across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls systems . The right technician knows how to work through a problem logically, read electrical prints and ladder logic, and determine why equipment failed—not just replace the failed component. If you're the person who gets called when the problem is more complicated than a basic start/stop circuit, this is the type of maintenance role you're looking for. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment Diagnose electrical problems beyond basic start/stop circuits Read and interpret hard-copy electrical schematics and ladder logic prints Trace control circuits and identify electrical faults Use electrical test equipment to diagnose problems Troubleshoot motors, sensors, switches, relays and contactors Troubleshoot conveyors, bearings, chains, gearboxes and processing equipment Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs Identify recurring problems and work toward root-cause solutions Complete maintenance documentation and communicate issues with the team
What We're Looking For Required:
Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment Strong electrical troubleshooting ability Ability to troubleshoot beyond basic start/stop circuits Ability to read and understand hard-copy ladder logic/electrical prints Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience using electrical test equipment Ability to troubleshoot independently and methodically
Preferred:
PLC troubleshooting experience Allen-Bradley or similar controls experience 480V electrical experience Sensors, relays, contactors and control circuits Pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting Conveyor and automated production equipment Preventive maintenance experience Food processing or similar high-volume manufacturing experience Shift Options & Pay 1st Shift Core hours: 7:00am-3:00pm Typical schedule runs earlier when needed, generally 5:00am-3:00pm 50-55 hours/week on average Some Saturdays $33
  • 37/hour 2nd Shift Core hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm Includes a 2-hour overlap on the front or back end of the shift based on operational needs 50-55 hours/week on average Some Saturdays $33
  • 37/hour 3rd Shift Core hours: 11:00pm-7:00am Includes a 2-hour overlap on the front or back end of the shift based on operational needs 50-55 hours/week on average Some Saturdays $33
  • 37/hour base + $1/hour shift premium $34
  • 38/hour effective rate Overtime is a regular part of the schedule, with technicians averaging approximately 50-55 hours per week.
Some Saturdays are required, but Saturdays are not every week. They're looking for a technician who can walk up to a machine that's down, pull the electrical print, trace the circuit, troubleshoot the controls, and then work through the mechanical side if that's where the problem leads.
