US Rod in Nappanee, Indiana is sourcing for an experienced Maintenance Technician. This position will train on first shift (5AM-3:30PM Monday through Friday, weekends as required). After training is complete, it will transition to a swing shift (12PM-9PM Monday through Friday). Eventually, it will transition to support a staffed second shift (3PM-11:30PM Monday through Friday). Candidates applying for this role should be available for any of these shift hours. Specific Responsibilities Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner. Work with a partner in most cases. Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organized. Responsible to perform the equipment and facility preventive maintenance as scheduled. Contract service suppliers and materials for necessary repairs or PM according to plan. Information planning and production for the scheduled PM. Supporting manufacturing team for shorter unplanned downtime. Education and Training High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience Experience working in an
API Q1/ISO 9001
2015 environment a plus. Experience with Rockwell or Fanuc software a plus. PLC/Allan Bradley, robotics experience a plus Knowledge and Skills Excellent verbal communication skills. Possess basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Able to follow instructions. Good mechanical aptitude. General use of tools and measuring equipment.
