A Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the Community, grounds and equipment in accordance with current federal, state and local guidelines and regulations, Community policies and procedures, and as may be directed byt the department director or supervisor. Training:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in plant maintenance, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC and equipment repair.

Employee Referral Bonus Program Physical or Mental Demands:
This position is classified as Heavy Work for physical exertion requirements. This involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
DUTIES:
1. Performs preventative and ongoing maintenance duties according to schedules, assignments and need in accordance with policies, practices and procedures which reflect person centered care, evidence based practices and current rules and regulations (i.e. electrical, mechanical, HVAC, painting, etc.). 2. Completes written reports and logs as required. 3. Participates in and/or conducts Community fire drills and maintains records in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines. 4. Assists in maintaining maintenance storage areas in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensures supplies are readily available. 5. Assists in resident moves and the setup and cleanup of Community functions. 6. Assists in maintaining floors and grounds as needed (i.e. shampooing carpets, shoveling sidewalks, mowing, etc.). 7. Advances the value that the residents come first by reporting accidents, incidents, resident complaints and changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor. 8. Other duties as assigned.
