Summary:
Starting rate: $28.00 or higher depending on experience The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing and/or leading a wide array of troubleshooting, continuous improvement and reliability centered maintenance and calibration programs in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate would possess the knowledge to create standard operating procedures for machinery startup and changeovers as well as the ability to train operators on equipment. Our Maintenance Technicians troubleshoot and make repairs to all general machinery, industrial fryers, industrial slicers, bagging machinery, conveyor systems, case packers, box makers, stretch wrappers, palletizers, and other necessary equipment to ensure efficient and effective operation of machinery for a high-quality finished product. This is an essential industrial maintenance role involving machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
Write and revise SOPs and forms to maintain up to date and accurate records. Uses schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits. Complete preventive maintenance on all production equipment in a timely manner according to schedule. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment. Determine needed parts and/or equipment necessary to complete repairs and preventive maintenance and complete appropriate order requests. Learn and gain expertise on new equipment and processes. Instruct co-workers (maintenance staff and production operators) on proper and safe operation of equipment as needed. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs to production equipment during machine service. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Required Experience:
3-5 years' experience and/or degree related to the field preferred. Allen Bradley PLC experience highly preferred.
