Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems, appliances, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen machinery. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment across our facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to a variety of complex systems while supporting operational excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and kitchen equipment to ensure peak performance. Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Install new appliances and mechanical components following manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Conduct repairs on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment with precision and efficiency. Operate company vehicles safely for maintenance tasks at multiple locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs to ensure compliance and facilitate future troubleshooting. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance mechanic with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical systems repair. Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex equipment. Knowledge of HVAC & appliance technology along with experience in appliance installation and kitchen equipment maintenance. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance across various mechanical systems. Construction experience or familiarity with building infrastructure is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to operate company vehicles safely while maintaining a valid driver's license; experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) supplies is preferred.
