JOB SUMMARY
The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic reports directly to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance, and safe operation of facility equipment, building systems, and production assets. This role performs routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and control systems while supporting general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate possesses a broad maintenance background, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to ensure equipment and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, state cannabis regulations, and applicable regulatory requirements. Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor cannabis cultivation and production environments with regular exposure to cannabis plants, cannabis-related odors, pollen, dust, mechanical equipment, and varying temperatures, humidity levels, weather conditions, and seasonal lighting. This position may require participation in an on-call rotation and response to maintenance issues outside of normal business hours as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform all duties in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable state regulations
- Conduct routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
- Complete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks in a timely manner
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and inventory levels
- Develop and maintain knowledge of facility equipment, infrastructure, and utility systems
- Ensure compliance with company policies, training requirements, and regulatory standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to evolving operational needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age and successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings
- 2+ years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general building maintenance systems, and the safe use of hand and power tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required state licenses, registrations, and credentials, including a cannabis agent badge
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor cannabis environments with varying temperatures, humidity levels, weather conditions, and cannabis-related odors
- Ability to safely work at heights, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance activities, including lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to reliably report for scheduled shifts, on-call assignments, and emergency maintenance situations
- Must maintain compliance with company policies, state cannabis regulations, facility operating procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements
