We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities, machinery, and equipment. About the Role As Maintenance Technician, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment, and systems within the facility. You'll troubleshoot and repair woodworking equipment, keep downtime to a minimum, and support the production team by maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. We're looking for someone with a strong background in industrial maintenance, experience with woodworking machinery, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. What You'll Do Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on woodworking machinery, such as CNC machines, saws, edge banders, and other production equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize equipment downtime. Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems according to the manufacturer's specifications and company schedules. Maintain and repair facility systems and the building, including lighting, plumbing, compressed air distribution, and doors, calling in licensed trades and outside vendors where the work requires them. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts replacements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices, maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering parts and materials as needed. Collaborate with the production team to schedule repairs and maintenance work without disrupting operations. Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production hours. Participate in the development and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. What You'll Need Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or woodworking environment. Strong understanding of industrial machinery, including CNC machines, saws, and other woodworking equipment. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and in troubleshooting electrical faults on de-energized equipment. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting maintenance activities. Nice to Have Experience in the woodworking or construction industry. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 75 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
