This is a hands-on custodial position focused primarily on maintaining floors using commercial cleaning equipment, especially a floor scrubber , along with general custodial cleaning duties.

What You'll Be Doing Primarily operate a commercial floor scrubber to clean and maintain floors Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain assigned floor areas Perform routine custodial and janitorial cleaning as needed Clean spills, dirt, debris, and buildup from assigned areas Properly use and care for cleaning equipment and supplies Follow established cleaning procedures and workplace safety standards Keep assigned areas clean, safe, and presentable Report equipment issues or maintenance concerns when needed This Role Is Ideal for

Has reliable transportation to the Schoolcraft work location Is comfortable working with commercial floor-cleaning equipment Has previous custodial, janitorial, commercial cleaning, or floor-care experience — preferred Can remain physically active throughout the shift Stays committed to their work Welcomes feedback and growth Shows up on time, every time Can work independently while also being part of a supportive team
