Fairway Aluminum Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Lamar, MO facility. The Maintenance Technician will install, maintain, and repair equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems; work close to operators and supervisors in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems while in a time-constrained environment; isolate root causes of maintenance problems accurately; and develop short-term expedient solutions to maintenance problems which keep the line operational until scheduled precision maintenance can be performed.

• Understand and follow all safety rules and practices including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate electrical testing equipment, welding machines, and shop machines.
• Understand and operate plant software including Outlook, Dynamics, Microsoft Office, and any other software required for proper job performance.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, test, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, forklifts, and physical structure of buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems in the plant using prints and computers.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and make connections for electrical installations.
• Install, program and/or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical problems are encountered before, during and after the installation of equipment.
• Assist in planning with the Engineering Department on new projects.
• Work with the Engineering Department and Production in de-bugging equipment.
• Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings used for installation and troubleshooting.
• Follow scheduled work orders timely manner while maintaining accurate work order documentation of work conducted.
• Find and check out storeroom parts as needed.
• Maintain tools and toolboxes to Envision Outdoor Living standards.
• Assist the production line when needed or directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Follow directions on Standard Work Plans (SWP) when provided.
• Provide timely and insightful feedback on work order to improve or correct Standard Work Plans (SWP).
• Work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends and overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree or higher is preferred
• Valid Driver's license
• Availability to work rotating 8 or 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, 7 days a week
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to position himself/herself to operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or or maintain heavy plant equipment.

This may require climbing stairs/ladders, bending, kneeling, crawling, and/or stooping. The employee must be able to inspect equipment and detect equipment malfunctions, as well as utilize tools to repair and maintain equipment.

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally, with assistance of another employee lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.

The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
