2nd Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled 2nd Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years of experience to join our manufacturing facility team in South County. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, air water, vacuum and resin systems. Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Utilize tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters to identify faults in low voltage and high voltage systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical blueprints to diagnose problems accurately. Support equipment upgrades or installations involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high voltage systems, or other automation components. Maintain compliance with safety protocols while working on electrical systems or performing maintenance tasks involving hazardous materials or environments. Assist in training team members on proper maintenance procedures or new equipment operation as needed. Requirements Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility with industrial maintenance responsibilities. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with CMMS platforms for maintenance management. Ability to read schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Skilled in welding ( welding if applicable), equipment repair, and the use of mechanical tools. Experience with HVAC/R systems, industrial electrician work, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Familiarity with high voltage (HV) and low voltage electrical systems along with electrical safety standards. Strong analysis skills combined with excellent problem-solving capabilities in engineering troubleshooting scenarios. Effective communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and support customer service initiatives when necessary.
Pay:
$26.00 - $35.00 per hour
