About us Position Description This position is responsible for monitoring and performing general mechanical duties assisting the production staff to ensure maximum efficiency of the plant equipment. Additional duties include but are not limited to: Perform general mechanical maintenance, industrial machine repair, and MIG/TIG welding and fabrication. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine control systems. Repair and maintain production equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, compressors, and extruders. Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation; identify issues and recommend or implement corrective actions. Assist production staff in troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related problems. Assist with the selection of auxiliary equipment and production materials. Report equipment and building maintenance issues. Support and promote all Terra Star safety policies and procedures. Complete special projects and other assigned duties as needed. Be available for on-call nights and weekends. Position Skills and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment desired. Working knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, a high mechanical aptitude, be reliable, self-motivated and a quick learner. This position will work primarily during the day shift, 7a-3:30p M-F, in a plant environment; however, some availability during the evening and weekends is required for maintenance calls.

$27.00 - $29.00 per hour
