Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Group Home / ISL Maintenance Person to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure the proper maintenance and repair of residential facilities, including building interiors, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and facilities equipment. Your expertise will help create safe, comfortable environments for those we support, promoting their well-being and independence. Duties Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of residential buildings' electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct electrical equipment repairs, including wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and use tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately. Maintain HVAC systems by inspecting, repairing, and replacing components to ensure optimal operation. Carry out carpentry tasks such as repairs to building interiors and maintenance painting to uphold facility appearance standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for welding, plumbing repairs, or mechanical work while adhering to safety protocols. Inspect facilities equipment regularly to identify potential issues early and perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems, electrical panels, and mechanical devices. Support customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents and ensuring minimal disruption. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or repair roles within residential or community settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, welding, and carpentry. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical systems troubleshooting. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to residential painting and building interior upkeep. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Join us in making a meaningful difference!
