Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support our operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the hours will fluctuate (with advanced notice) to accommodate business needs. The starting pay is firmly fixed at/around $13-$15 per hour. Pending budget funds and the successful completion of the probationary period, annual raises are provided. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment. Work the assigned weekly schedule as will be determined. Be "handy" and possess basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills. Perform general labor/ and cleaning up of work areas. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Follow instructions from supervisor to complete assigned tasks. Be flexible enough to efficiently and effectively complete unexpected tasks (within the scope of facilities care/maintenance). Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management. Perform other duties as assigned, including opening/closing facility and conference rooms. Overall, be a positive team player; this is expected. Skills Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Basic problem-solving skills to address challenges on-site. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.
