Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff alike. Your expertise will help uphold our high standards of quality and service, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about facilities maintenance and technical problem-solving. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, building interior features, and facilities infrastructure. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues promptly to minimize downtime. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults accurately. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to maintain the building's interior and exterior appearance. Operate hand tools and power tools safely while adhering to safety protocols for electrical work, plumbing repairs, or mechanical adjustments. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and scheduled service tasks in accordance with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures. Lead or assist with facilities projects requiring schematics interpretation or specialized skills like programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or electrical equipment repair. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure high standards of customer service for internal clients and guests. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality industry or commercial buildings. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical work, carpentry, welding, and painting. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), electrical equipment repair, and troubleshooting diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with maintenance painting is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English; ability to read technical schematics and instructions clearly. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices for effective facilities management. Valid certifications related to electrical work or HVAC systems are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn new skills is essential. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
