Maintenance Technician Goldberg Realty Associates - 3.2 Haddonfield, NJ Job Details Full-time $23 - $26 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement Vision insurance Professional development assistance Qualifications Driver's License Appliance repair Cleaning HVAC Certification Woodworking Full Job Description Maintenance Technician II Haddonfield, NJ | 432-Apartment Community You know that person everyone calls when something breaks? The one who walks into a problem, takes a look, and says, "I've got it." The one who doesn't just patch the problem, but figures out why it happened in the first place. The one residents appreciate because they show up, communicate, and actually get things done. And the one a manager can count on without having to wonder, "Did that get taken care of?" That's who we're looking for. Goldberg Realty is looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our team in Haddonfield, NJ and help keep a 432-apartment community running at its best. This is a role for someone who takes real pride in their work , someone who likes solving problems, keeping things in good shape, and knowing that what they do every day makes a difference for the people who call our communities home. So, what does your day actually look like? You might start the morning troubleshooting an HVAC issue. Then a resident needs a plumbing repair. A light fixture needs attention. You spot something during an inspection that could become a bigger problem if nobody addresses it. And before the day is over, you're helping get a vacant apartment ready for its next resident. You're the person who keeps the wheels turning. You'll be responsible for:
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
Resident Service:
Respond to service requests professionally and efficiently while creating a positive resident experience.
Preventive Maintenance:
Inspect buildings and equipment, catch problems early, and help keep the community safe and well maintained.
Apartment Turnovers:
Take make-readies from "not quite ready" to "welcome home," including painting, appliance repairs, cleaning, and general repairs.
Staying Organized:
Prioritize competing needs, manage your time, and follow through on what you start.
On-Call Support:
Participate in an every-other-week on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance needs. What makes someone great at this job? We're not just looking for someone who can turn a wrench. We're looking for someone who owns the outcome. You're probably a great fit if: You have 3-5 years of maintenance experience , preferably in multifamily housing. You're confident with plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. You know how to troubleshoot instead of immediately calling someone else. HVAC experience or certification is a big plus. You can juggle multiple priorities without losing track of the details. You communicate clearly and professionally with residents, managers, and your teammates. You're dependable. When you say you'll do something, you do it. You're comfortable with physical work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and being on your feet. You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. And what do you get in return? We believe taking care of our people matters just as much as taking care of our communities. Here's what comes with the job: Comprehensive Benefits Aetna Medical, Dental & Vision Time Off 15 PTO Days + 2 Floating Holidays + 8 Paid Federal Holidays Birthday PTO Because you shouldn't have to work on your birthday. Give Back 16 hours of paid volunteer time every year Keep Growing Training and professional development through the New Jersey Apartment Association and more Extra Perks Work anniversary rewards, team events, and other employee perks The bottom line? We take care of 432 apartments. But really, we're taking care of 432 homes , and the people who live in them. That takes a team that cares about doing things right. If you're the kind of maintenance professional who likes being the person everyone can count on, we'd love to meet you. Apply today. Come grow with Goldberg Realty.
