Job Description

A maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of a facility's machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Their primary goal is to minimize downtime by performing preventative maintenance and ensuring operations run safely and efficiently.

Preventative Maintenance:

Conducting routine inspections and servicing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to prevent unexpected breakdowns.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Diagnosing issues with equipment, dismantling machines to replace defective parts, and fixing plumbing, lighting, or structural defects.

Record-Keeping:

Tracking all maintenance work, logging parts used, and managing inventory of equipment and supplies using work order software.

Emergency Response:

Being the primary contact to quickly address facility-related or operational emergencies as they happen.

Key Requirements Technical Skills:

Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Problem-Solving:

The ability to quickly diagnose the root cause of equipment failures and determine the safest, most cost-effective fix.

Physical Stamina:

Capacity to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand or kneel for extended periods

Pay:

$17.39 - $21.37 per hour
