Under the direction of the LWC Manager, ensures the safety and cleanliness of the natatoriums by maintaining water chemistry, operating pool equipment, and enforcing pool rules. Assists with facility maintenance and equipment repairs, including pool maintenance and upkeep. Ensure proper record keeping. Assists the manager with planning and coordination of lifeguard training, certifying lifeguards, and aquatic lessons, and assists with staffing shortages as needed. Essential Functions

• Understand and comply with the laws and regulations governing my job activities and the ethical and legal standards set forth in the Nor-Lea Compliance Program Plan and Code of Conduct.
• Ensures pool chemicals are maintained by regular monitoring and adjustment of chemicals.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance of pool equipment.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of facility.
• Manage records and information in any format in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure monthly lifeguard in-services are being completed.
• Monitors and maintains equipment and facilities, including providing repair. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• Pursuing a High School Diploma or General Education Degree Required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred but must obtain within 3 months
• Lifeguard Certification preferred but must obtain within 3 months
• Lifeguard Instructor Certification preferred but must obtain within 3 months
