A hotel maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of a hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems. This includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance, responding to guest requests, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. The job can involve a wide range of tasks, from minor repairs to major overhauls, and requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance:
Regularly inspecting and servicing equipment, systems, and facilities to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. This includes tasks like checking HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire safety equipment.
Corrective Maintenance:
Diagnosing and repairing issues that arise, such as plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, HVAC problems, and furniture damage.
Guest Room Maintenance:
Addressing maintenance requests from guests, such as fixing faulty appliances, repairing furniture, or resolving issues with lighting or plumbing.
General Maintenance:
Performing a variety of tasks to maintain the hotel's interior and exterior, including painting, carpentry, and landscaping.
Collaboration:
Working with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to coordinate maintenance efforts and ensure guest satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of maintenance issues.
Customer Service:
Ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Physical Stamina:

Education and Experience:
