Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Provides a safe operating environment by directing installation, maintenance, repair of machines, tools, equipment and utility systems.

Ensure production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repairKeeps records of all maintenance and service activities undertaken in a facilityDesigns, implements and modifies preventive maintenance programs for both the facilities and equipment by working with production, quality control, and maintenance and engineering team members; inspecting operating machines, equipment and systems for conformance with operational standardsPlaces orders for spare parts and equipment for replacementComplies with all corporate policies and OSHA while carrying out maintenance functionsProtects employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environmentAbility to prioritize workflow to maintain a safe and productive work environmentRespond to requests for equipment installation/modificationDocument repairs and parts requests, maintain communication with effected departmentsOther duties as assignedEducation -
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalentPrevious maintenance/production maintenance experience
Required Skills and Related Competencies:
Good communication skillsStrong mechanical aptitudeExperience in:

ElectricalPlumbingConstructionHydraulicPneumaticDiagnostic aptitude. Ability to approach complex problems using appropriate tools and logical processesAdherence to LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) ProceduresPossession of a basic set of tools: Hand tools, small power tools, multimeterAbility to use common office programs: Email, Microsoft Word/ExcelAbility to read electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/parts schematicsExperience repairing Brown & Sharpe machines helpful
Compensation:
$Starting at $28.00/hour minimum, depending on experience
