Job Description Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic. This is a full-time, 12-month position that includes a full benefits package. This position involves a variety of building maintenance and repair tasks of a skilled nature. Typical work may include but is not limited to the following: Supervises and/or performs skilled repairs to plumbing, steam lines, electric wiring and equipment, furniture, doors and windows, hardware and varied mechanical equipment and machinery;

Installs shelving, storage cabinets and new hardware, and performs other skilled carpentry tasks;

Does skilled painting work;

Maintains and repairs central heating systems;

Perform grounds maintenance and maintains athletic and playground facilities;

Maintenance Mechanic

Job Qualifications Minimum qualifications One year of work experience as a journeyman in a skilled trade, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry or steam-fitting; or,

Four years of experience in either general building construction or in building maintenance work; or,

An equivalent combination of training and experience as indicated above.
