Job Description

Overview Rust Belt Capital is seeking to add a Maintenance Technician to our growing company. Technician will report to and be supervised by the Operations Manager to execute work orders received from residents, prepare vacant units for new tenants, and perform general preventative maintenance. This role involves general upkeep of the property grounds, such as landscaping, and maintaining systems to meet safety and code standards. Candidate should be eager to lean, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and willing to work as part of a team. Preferred Capabilities Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical wiring, and tool usage (multimeters, drills, and hand tools) Respond to and resolve routine maintenance issues across properties Fix plumbing leaks, repair electrical issues, and service appliances based on resident requests Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins by painting walls, patching drywall Conduct regular property walks to proactively identify and solve problems Inspect heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and replace worn filters or parts regularly Complete and document preventative maintenance Maintain accurate and detailed time records for work and services performed Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean, working order Maintain common areas, grounds, and walkways, which may include snow removal or light landscaping.
