Job Description

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician/Skilled Trades Instructor to join our team! The position is full-time 6am

  • 4pm•Monday•Friday The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general cleaning of the facility, snow removal, lawncare/landscaping and assisting with all building maintenance tasks.

Previous electrical, mechanical and plumbing experience is a must. He/she will be required to drive a plow truck during the winter for snow removal. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Responsibilities and Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide preventive maintenance for the building, equipment, and grounds. Perform repairs including, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting and in accordance to accepted codes. Arrange for and manage contract repairs, maintenance, and other construction services to care center/community. Ensure strict adherence to community fire safety and hazardous chemical procedures, promptly address all unsafe conditions or equipment problems. Perform floor care on an ongoing basis, including carpeting in resident apartments and common areas of the community. Cleans office area, breakroom, restrooms, parking lots and other work areas Vacuum, sweep and mop floors as needed Check and replace interior lights Cuts the grass and performs landscaping duties Runs the plow truck to clear parking lots each morning from snow and ice Keep walkways and entrances free of debris, snow and ice Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains) Performs minor electrical maintenance to include, but not limited to, replacement of repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, etc.) Performs minor painting and carpentry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer or roller to apply paint, replacing door handles and locks, etc.) Operates floor scrubber and waxer Safely operate a hand truck to handle materials and completed work Order parts and maintain required documents On-call for building alarm responses Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations Account for time and work completed Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Schedule Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-4:00 PM Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying supplies and equipment, climbing ladders or stairs, bending, reaching, and performing general maintenance tasks.
