Compensation:
$30.00/hour
The number one priority of the Maintenance Technician is to create and continuously monitor a safe work environment for themselves and everyone.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility systems in a small, 24/7 specialty manufacturing facility. As part of a two-person maintenance team operating on a single shift, this role requires a highly autonomous individual who can prioritize work independently, respond to equipment issues, communicate effectively with production personnel, and support continuous improvement efforts. The technician plays a key role in maximizing equipment reliability while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. The Maintenance Technician will have a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, quality standards, good manufacturing practices and safety environment regulations. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process-related equipment issues. Respond to equipment breakdowns and determine root causes to prevent recurrence. Plan and execute maintenance work with minimal supervision. Partner closely with operators and supervisors to prioritize maintenance activities and communicate equipment status. Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory information. Support installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment. Perform facility maintenance activities including utility systems, HVAC, lighting, and infrastructure repairs. Follow all safety procedures including LOTO and risk assessment requirements. Identify and implement reliability and continuous improvement opportunities. Maintain clean and organized maintenance work areas through 6S methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in chemical, powder processing, manufacturing, or industrial environments
PLC troubleshooting experience
Welding, fabrication, or machining experience
Experience with 6S methodologies.
