Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment (pumps, compressors, presses, conveyors, lathes, grinders, shears, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and equipment malfunctions.
  • Work with electrical systems, including running conduit and pulling electrical wiring (110V and 3-phase 220/440V awareness).
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and pipefitting tasks as needed.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, and controls.
  • Operate forklifts, genie lifts, and assist with equipment rigging and relocation.
  • Perform facilities maintenance and waste handling duties.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Complete general housekeeping and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic electrical knowledge (110V and 3-phase systems).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and pipefitting (preferred).
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, lifts, and rigging equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong commitment to safety procedures and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Some post-secondary education preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance, preventative maintenance, or mechanical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.
  • Experience with industrial equipment repair, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting required.
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
