Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
About the Role As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical member of our technical team, ensuring the reliability and safety of plant infrastructure and production machinery. You will leverage your mechanical expertise to perform preventative maintenance, complex repairs, and facility upgrades, directly impacting our operational efficiency and safety standards. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive maintenance, rebuilding, and repair of plant equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and motors. Perform precision welding, cutting, and burning tasks to maintain structural and process integrity. Manage mechanical power transmission, including coupling and sheave alignment, to optimize machine performance. Maintain process and utility piping systems, including flange replacements ranging from 1" to 48" diameters. Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and man lifts to facilitate maintenance projects. Document all work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and safety compliance forms with high attention to detail. Proactively identify operational non-conformances and recommend corrective actions to improve system longevity. Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proven mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial or chemical processing environments. Proficiency in reading technical schematics, safety manuals, and manufacturer documentation. Ability to utilize computer-based maintenance management systems and standard office software. Capability to perform physical tasks in varying environmental conditions while utilizing required personal protective equipment. Preferred Skills Formal certification in welding or related mechanical trades. Experience with PSM (Process Safety Management) and RMP (Risk Management Plan) protocols. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems under emergency conditions.
