They are also responsible for maintaining the general upkeep of the pool area itself. This includes, the pool, the deck around the pool, and removing debris. Pool Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining equipment and chemical stock levels at store and in the vehicle Conduct regular cleaning of the pools, including maintaining proper water levels. Testing swimming pool water pH and chlorine levels. Adding acid, chlorine and other chemicals to correct pH levels. Removing debris from the pool using nets and other authorized equipment. Replacing globes in underwater light fittings. Fixing cracks or leaks in the swimming pool structure. Fitting and repairing pipes and plumbing for spas and pools. Servicing and fixing faulty pool cleaning equipment. Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management. Making sure the pool deck is free of debris Verify all equipment meets safety standards. Keep deck areas neat, clean, and orderly at all times. Always maintain a polite and courteous attitude with all members and guests. Report to work on time and in uniform for scheduled hours. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills and qualifications Pool Operators License or 2 years maintaining chemical stock level experience preferred, or the ability to obtain license. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate verbally Great customer service skills including listening carefully and exercising patience. Physical Requirements This position requires complete mobility and the ability to withstand extreme outdoor environments. Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk a minimum of 8 hours daily and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
