Level 2 Maintenance Technician - General Maintenance - Hotel - Full Time Available

Job Description

HVAC Experience Required We are seeking an experienced and dependable Level II Maintenance Technician to join our hotel engineering/maintenance team. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and HVAC experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning property for our guests and team members. Position Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, guest rooms, and common areas. Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment , including packaged units, split systems, PTACs, thermostats, controls, motors, capacitors, contactors, and related components. Troubleshoot heating and cooling complaints and restore equipment to proper operation. Perform basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting and repairs , including switches, receptacles, lighting, breakers, motors, and controls. Perform basic plumbing repairs , including toilets, faucets, drains, valves, fixtures, and water-related issues. Complete general building maintenance, including drywall, painting, doors, locks, hardware, furniture, and minor carpentry. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and document completed work. Respond promptly and professionally to guest-room maintenance calls. Identify equipment or building conditions that could create safety concerns or lead to larger repairs. Maintain clean and organized mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, and workspaces. Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed. Work independently while communicating effectively with hotel management and other departments. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable building and life-safety requirements. Required Qualifications HVAC experience is required. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Previous hotel, commercial building, apartment, facilities, or similar maintenance experience preferred. Ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts. Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems. Ability to use meters, hand tools, power tools, and HVAC diagnostic equipment safely. Ability to prioritize multiple work orders in a fast-paced hotel environment. Professional appearance and attitude when interacting with guests. Dependable attendance and ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and perform other physical duties associated with building maintenance. Must be available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency/on-call situations as required. Preferred Qualifications EPA Section 608 Certification. Commercial HVAC experience. Hotel engineering or facilities maintenance experience. Experience with refrigeration, boilers, pumps, commercial kitchen equipment, or building automation systems is a plus. Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and work-order systems. What We're Looking For This is a Level II position , so we are looking for someone with proven maintenance experience who can independently troubleshoot and complete many common repairs without constant supervision. The successful candidate should understand the importance of preventative maintenance and recognize that guest comfort, safety, and property condition are top priorities. HVAC knowledge and hands-on HVAC troubleshooting experience are a must for this position.
