TCAT Crump - Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Crump Clifton Instructional Service Center Job Summary The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump Clifton Campus' is accepting applications for the full-time, non-exempt position of Custodian to open and lock up buildings. Perform custodial duties and seasonal grounds maintenance. Maintain heating and air conditioning for proper usage. Operate powered equipment. The applicant should have the ability to adapt to changing assignments quickly and manage multiple tasks. Job Duties Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of the buildings and mechanical systems Observe safety practices in handling, storing, and using all equipment, chemicals, and materials Maintain ample inventory of janitorial supplies Replace light bulbs when necessary Keep facilities mechanical rooms clean, orderly and free from obstruction Daily removal of inside/outside trash from buildings, lawns and parking lot Clean counters, sinks, floors, tables and chairs in breakroom daily Clean drinking fountains Clean outside walkways and doormats and remove snow and ice from walkways when necessary Vacuum classrooms / offices once per week Dust mop halls daily Wet mop halls weekly and/or as needed Restrooms cleaned and mopped daily Supply hand towels, toilet tissue, hand soap and supplies to restroom and shop areas as needed Clean glass doors daily / Clean windows, as needed Dust furniture and fixtures weekly Buff floors, as needed Maintain lawn and campus grounds and building mechanical systems Operate powered equipment when needed to perform job duties Supervise work study assignees Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Courteous and pleasant demeanor with coworkers and public are required Willing to work a flexible and varying schedule as needed A valid driver's license for the State of Tennessee Established work history, reference and criminal background check will be required Successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively by listening, speaking, writing, and reading and must be able to understand and follow instructions and directions Must know how to use chemicals safely and maintain a safe working environmen Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Use of computer Able to climb ladders, stairs, bend, stoop, twist and kneel Lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs Inside and outside work assignments Do repetitive movements and tasks. Operate a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed.

RANGE :
$27,129-$29,979 Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
