Job Description

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician Position Type:

Competitive, based on experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated production equipment throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial maintenance background with experience in robotics, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, PLCs, automated equipment, and spot/resistance welding systems . This is a hands-on maintenance position supporting a variety of equipment rather than being limited to one specific area. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing and production equipment Troubleshoot and recover industrial robotic systems, including FANUC and other robotic platforms Diagnose robotic faults and support production when automated equipment goes down Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Work with PLCs, HMIs, drives, motors, sensors, relays, switches, and other industrial controls Maintain and troubleshoot presses, conveyors, automated assembly equipment, and production machinery Support robotic welding, spot welding, and resistance welding equipment Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance Respond to equipment breakdowns and determine the cause of failures Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components as needed Read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints, schematics, and equipment documentation Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects Complete maintenance documentation and work orders Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and plant safety procedures Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability Qualifications Previous industrial maintenance or multi-craft maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment Hands-on experience with industrial robotics; FANUC experience is highly desirable Experience with PLC-controlled equipment; Allen-Bradley experience is preferred Knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Ability to troubleshoot production equipment using a systematic approach Experience with presses, conveyors, assembly equipment, or similar industrial machinery preferred Spot welding and/or resistance welding equipment experience preferred Ability to read electrical/mechanical prints and schematics Strong understanding of industrial safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures Ability to work independently as well as with maintenance, production, and engineering personnel Programming experience is beneficial but is not required for candidates who are strong in equipment troubleshooting, robotic recovery, and multi-craft maintenance. Pay:
$33.30 - $39.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
