Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment. Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, control panels, PLCs, wiring, control circuits, and related industrial electrical components. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, actuators, and fluid lines. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation. Use multimeters, diagnostic equipment, and measuring tools to identify equipment problems. Perform scheduled inspections, lubrication, adjustments, repairs, and component replacements. Respond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment repair documentation, and service logs. Assist with maintenance parts, tools, supplies, and spare parts inventory. Work with production supervisors and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve equipment problems. Follow all OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, lockout procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area. Support continuous improvement initiatives and other industrial maintenance projects as needed. Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications 2 to 3 years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or similar environment. Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience troubleshooting motors, PLCs, control circuits, electrical panels, and industrial wiring. Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, and actuators. Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills. Experience using multimeters and other industrial diagnostic tools. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment inspections. Welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical school, vocational training, or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing maintenance team. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work flexible shifts, nights, weekends, overtime, and occasional Sundays as production needs require. Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to complete required background screening and drug screening. Maintenance Technician Schedule This is a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician position working 12-hour shifts. The typical work schedule may include Monday through Saturday, with overtime and occasional Sunday work depending on manufacturing and production needs. Manufacturing Work Environment The Maintenance Technician will work in an active industrial manufacturing environment.
