Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technician II

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Facilities Maintenance Tech II position is an intermediate level position that preforms general maintenance and electrical maintenance on systems, perform pm work when needed and assist other techs and training new Industrial Facility Technicians.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to include High Visibility clothing. Repairs or replaces broken or damaged parts on systems. Trouble shoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with systems. Operate various maintenance equipment, including but not limited to: hand, electrical or air tools. Immediately report safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions. Comply with company safety policies and procedures, including using the lock-out/tag-out system before performing maintenance work. Perform pm work on mechanical and electrical systems Maintain truck organization and cleanliness. Assist with stocking, unloading and delivering supplies. Assist with keeping up parts. Document repair operations and time-tracking in Dossier and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintain equipment and tools essential to accomplishing daily tasks. Perform general housekeeping. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or its equivalent At least two years of relevant industrial facility maintenance experience, or completion of a trade school program Ability to identify problems and implement solutions Demonstrated familiarity with the principles and techniques of mechanical and electrical controls repair and maintenance Working knowledge of the operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools Ability to operate a forklift Ability to communicate effectively in English Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
At least two years of field related experience Trades training
REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Class C driver's license Safe driving record for the last three years.
