Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Swimming Pool Service Technician to join our team full-time. The Pool Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining residential and/or commercial swimming pools, ensuring water quality, cleanliness, equipment operation, and overall pool safety. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while providing excellent customer service. Previous pool service experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities
Perform routine swimming pool maintenance and service at assigned locations.
Test and balance pool water chemistry, including chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and stabilizer.
Add and properly handle pool chemicals according to manufacturer and safety guidelines.
Skim, brush, vacuum, and clean pools, spas, and surrounding areas.
Empty and clean skimmer baskets, pump baskets, filters, and other pool components.
Inspect pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, valves, plumbing, and other pool equipment.
Identify and report equipment problems, leaks, water-quality issues, and maintenance needs.
Perform basic pool equipment maintenance and minor repairs when qualified.
Maintain accurate service records and document chemical readings and work performed.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding pool conditions, services performed, and recommended repairs.
Maintain company equipment, tools, chemicals, and service vehicles in a clean and organized condition.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and chemical-handling requirements.
Complete daily service routes efficiently and on schedule.
Represent the company professionally at all customer locations.
Qualifications
Previous swimming pool service, maintenance, landscaping, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical experience is a plus.
Basic knowledge of pool equipment and water chemistry preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to safely lift and carry equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, including in hot and humid conditions.
Ability to safely handle and transport pool chemicals and equipment.
