Job Title:
Ranch Hand - Livestock Care & Fence Builder
Location:

Compensation:
$10.00 per hour + Housing and Meat Provided We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ranch Hand to assist with daily operations, animal care, and property maintenance. This position involves a mix of physical, outdoor work—primarily focusing on repairing and building fences, alongside the daily feeding, management, and care of our livestock. If you enjoy working with animals, love the outdoors, and are looking for a position that includes on-site housing, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities
Livestock Care:
Assist with the daily care, feeding, watering, and management of livestock and animals.
Health & Enclosures:
Monitor animal health and behavior, clean and maintain animal enclosures, and assist with breeding, birthing activities, and routine medical treatments.
Fencing Infrastructure:
Repair existing fencing and install new fences across the property to secure boundaries.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate ranch vehicles, farm equipment, and tools to transport feed, supplies, and animals (transportation is provided once on-site).
Ranch Operations:
Maintain accurate records related to animal care and production. Follow supervisor instructions and strictly adhere to all safety protocols.
Schedule:
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions for at least 8 hours per day, at least 5 days per week. Qualifications & Requirements
Fencing Experience:
Prior fence repair or fence building experience is required.
Animal Experience:
Previous experience with farm or ranch animals is beneficial, but not required. We value reliability and a strong work ethic above all.
Physical Ability:
Ability to work as part of a team and perform physically demanding tasks—such as heavy lifting, stooping, and standing for extended periods—outdoors.
Transportation:
Must have a reliable means to transport yourself to the ranch initially.
Screenings:
