Hampton Inn and Suites By Hilton Portland TX is looking for a Hotel Maintenance -Part Time who is well-rounded and provides preventative maintenance and repairs to all areas of the hotel, specifically dry wall, paint, and texture. As well as exterior, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical systems, floors, walls and furniture. If you've worked in the hospitality industry before, we definitely want to talk to you. However, we're willing to train the right applicant.
Reports to:
General Manager (GM) Hotel Maintenance Engineer responsibilities: Work congruently with General Manager and hotel staff. Ensure the smooth daily operation and guest appeal of the hotel. Direct the maintenance staff on small repairs, such as patching drywall, fixing faulty wiring, or unclogging drains. Consult blueprints or product manuals for more complex issues, in order to maintain hotel assets. Assign staff to repair sprinklers or instruct grounds crew to maintain outside landscaping. Manage maintenance workers and participate in hiring, training and mentoring staff. Evaluate staff member's cumulative performance, to ensure staff are performing daily tasks safely and effectively. Budget material and labor expenses and submit assessments to the hotel GM. Utilize online maintenance platforms, electronic key systems, etc.. The ability to do preventative maintenance (PM) on property via electronic device Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Hotel Maintenance Engineer qualifications:
College degree preferred. Will accept High School diploma and 2+ years of on the job experience. Extensive experience with installing and troubleshooting electrical switches, operating boilers, and repairing appliances. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Ability to lift over 40 lbs. Knowledge and experience working with hotel maintenance tools and chemicals, safely and effectively.
