Job Description

University HealthJoin University Health and help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and employees. We are looking for dependable, hardworkingFloor Technicianswho take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a team.

What You'll DoAs a Floor Technician, you'll play an important role in maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of our facilities.
Responsibilities include:
Perform general floor care, cleaning, and maintenance throughout University Health facilities.

Operate floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

Help keep floors clean, polished, and well maintained in patient care and public areas.

Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to established safety procedures.

Follow Joint Commission, Texas Department of Health, University Health, and departmental guidelines.

Identify and report maintenance concerns, spills, discarded needles or syringes, and other potential safety hazards.

Assist team leaders with cleanup and proper disposal procedures when needed.

Respond promptly to assigned duties and assist in other areas during urgent or emergency situations.

Provide courteous, professional service when interacting with patients, visitors, and fellow employees.

What We're Looking ForRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.

Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment.

Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

PreferredFour years of previous floor care experience.

Completion of work-related or on-the-job vocational training.
