Aloft Houston Shenandoah is seeking a dependable and experienced Hotel Maintenance Engineer to help keep our property safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests and employees. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel Troubleshoot and repair

HVAC/PTAC

units, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment Respond promptly to guestroom and public-area maintenance requests Complete routine inspections of guest rooms, mechanical rooms, pool equipment, and common areas Repair drywall, paint, flooring, doors, locks, furniture, and fixtures Maintain accurate maintenance logs and document completed work Monitor inventory and communicate when parts or supplies are needed Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs are required Follow all safety, fire, life-safety, and brand-standard procedures Keep work areas, maintenance rooms, and equipment clean and organized Assist other departments when needed to support hotel operations Qualifications Previous hotel or commercial building maintenance experience preferred General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic repairs Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail and time-management skills Professional and courteous when interacting with guests and employees Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to urgent maintenance issues Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Pool certification, HVAC certification, or other maintenance-related certifications are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in different areas of the property for extended periods Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures Aloft Houston Shenandoah is looking for a hands-on team member who takes pride in maintaining a safe, attractive, and well-functioning hotel.
